DIRT ROAD TOURS & TRANSFERS

ABOUT US

Founded in Nadi, Dirt Road Tours & Transfers was born out of a passion for uncovering the hidden, untouched heart of Fiji. While most visitors only experience the white-sand beaches and modern coastal resorts, we believe the true soul of our islands lies hidden deep within the rugged mountain ranges, pristine rainforests, and remote interior highlands.

We bridge the gap between modern comfort and raw, off-the-beaten-path exploration. By deep interior routing, we take travelers past the end of the paved roads. We journey into traditional Fijian life, remote heritage parks, and ancient highland settlements that few international travelers ever get to see.

Our Mission

To deliver safe, immersive, and deeply authentic cultural and nature-based expeditions into Fiji’s interior while driving sustainable economic growth directly to rural and remote highland communities.

Why Travel With Us?

  • True Cultural Immersion: We don’t just show you Fiji from a window; we hold official relationships with community elders to facilitate genuine, respectful entry into historic traditional spaces, including authentic Sevusevu (kava welcome ceremonies).
  • Massive Group Logistics: From intimate couples and family vacations to large-scale incentive charters, cruise ship excursions, and student groups, we seamlessly handle logistics for up to 100 passengers per day.
  • 100% Local Impact: We operate with a strict community-first philosophy. Your entry levies and guiding fees go directly into rural community development funds, preserving ancient architectural heritages and supporting local highland schooling.
  • Our Signature Interior Expeditions

  • Abaca Village & Mt. Batilamu Day Tour: A moderate-to-challenging trek into the volcanic highlands of Koroyanitu National Heritage Park, featuring panoramic island vistas and hidden waterfall swims.
  • Authentic Navala Village Day Tour: An easy-to-moderate historical journey into the Ba Highlands to explore Fiji's last remaining fully traditional thatched-roof bure village.
  • Nausori Highlands: Betanaqo Settlement Tour: An early-morning mountain ascent climbing 508 meters above sea level to experience traditional highland hospitality, complete with a village breakfast and lunch.
